MELBOURNE: KAYWEB Managing Director Haig Kayserian has been named in the Australian Domain Name Administrator (auDA) 2010 Names Policy Panel.
auDA describes the purpose of the Panel as having to:
- review the policy framework underlying the allocation and use of domain names in the .au domain space; and
- provide recommendations to the auDA board about what changes (if any) should be made to the policy framework.
Kayserian has a strong knowledge of the domain name industry and will be a representative of several stakeholder groups as part of the Panel.
"At KAYWEB, we are domain name resellers and as an Internet Business Consultant, I look forward to representing internet users' and businesses' interests as part of this Panel," Kayserian said.
Derek Whitehead, the Information Services and Copyright Officer at Swinburne University, will chair the 20-person panel, which first meets in Melbourne mid-September.
